If you want a super-sleek Blip mount for your SRAM eTap-equipped time trial or tri’ rig, the way to go is with the eTap BlipGrips.
Made from a semi-rigid polypropylene + TPE, the grips slide over the ends of 22.2mm diameter (aka standard) base bars and aero extensions. They’re round in shape so can be rotated into any spot you want and then secured with a small bolt.
The mounting is simple. You thread Blips through the grips. You slide the BlipGrips onto the bar ends. You use a 2mm hex head wrench and torque the bolt to 1.5NM. The grip material is semi-rigid and needs 65mm of flat bar on which to sit. If you have brake levers at the end of your base bars, you can slide the BlipGrips on first, and then secure the brake levers. If you are putting them on extensions, there’s a bullet-shaped cap that goes over the end.
Two BlipGrips come in the kit. They weigh 57g for the pair. Blips aren’t included with the kit. SRAM recommends their 650mm wire-length blips for these clamps.
